Crash dumps are bloody annoying, but truth be told, this is often due to problems on your end, not in SI's code. For example, I had plenty of crash dumps with FM07 with my old computer. It was a few years old, and generally a bit unstable. Upgraded the PC and all problems were gone. Same this year. Not a hitch from FM08. I used to have to save after every game because I'd get so ****ed off from losing matches after crash dumps. Now I only save once in a while when I remember it.

What league are you playing in btw? I'm playing in England and have had very few problems. Was the odd bug here and there, but nothing too serious. Actually think this is the best out of the box game they have produced.

My last update for the night another 2 players on the treatment table in 2 more games since my last total. So it is now 6 of the first team squad on the treatment table sighs

The grey team issue is stupid, as just played a grey team in an early round of the FA cup and scraped a replay. So replay was 2 days later and my players hadn't got back to the pre first game condition stats but the grey team was automatically back to 100%, quit the game at that point for the evening will return again tomorrow.

Bloody hell, that looks like a typical GQ post there, ricay. This thread is for discussing potential LLM issues, not for ranting at SI/Sega because the game crashed on start up.

I suggest if you do want a refund then you should perhaps take it back to the shop and if they won't take it back contact SI/Sega via email if you are serious, not here.

Well I have downloaded it but have been busy so no chance of playing it for a while. From the last beta patch though, I didn't find loads of bugs and was enjoying it. Roll on when I have time to play. \o

The greys' athleticism on first matches of the season is annoying, but this season my assistant booked us two matches against Scots 1st and Scots Prem to begin with.

Sure we got spanked badly in those, but the posterior matches with allgreys sides didn't turn so bad as past seasons (3 wins and a draw).

I finally managed to land my 3rd and 4th seasonal loans in. I had to settle for unfinished products, but that's also more realistic.

Morale plummeting after defeats is also gone, or I've managed to keep it better as after an awful start of the season which sees us go 1d 4l (including cups) morale was still ok, allowing us to face our next two home matches against relegation battlers in decent conditions (1w 1d).

To sum up, I'm finding the patch to make the game more polished and I'm sure that the January/Feb patch will iron out the remaining issues (though I expect an emergency patch if the registration glitch is unsorted).

Regarding that registration bug, I played my beta test save in Spain and although B teamers and U18s weren't available in the 1st season I managed to avoid it afterwards. Just make sure you press confirm instead of continue whenever you are in the registration screen.

As the teams full of grey players issue remains below Conference N/S and SI have confirmed that this won't be fixed (by making the game database bigger) until FM2009, what is the LLM view regarding retaining players (i.e. all those in England) to provide a greater sense of realism?

Was that a bug? I just assumed that I had rubbish coaches!

I want my £25 back which as someone who suffers from a dibilatating illness meaning that I physically can not work on a full time basis is a lot of money

Easily solved. Take the boxed game back to the shop you purchased it and ask for a refund.

I have never retained players before. The note in the LLM rules and guidelines has always put me off, but perhaps due to the greys issue retaining all English players might give a better balanced game?

Any 'retainers' in LLM?
