I played a few seasons on FM08 with Liverpool and cleaned up and frankly I got bored, so I decided to start again in the lower reaches of English football.
I choose, for no particular reason, Basingstoke Town.
My chairmen said he wanted to be an established Blue Square South Team within 2 years. I exceeded that, gaining promotion at the first attempt and bettering expectations in the lower league cup competitions.
To do this I first found myself a parent team in the shape of Premiership Reading and loaning a couple of Icelandic youth players and by making a couple of free signings.
I made a loss in the first couple of months but as the results started coming in, so did the fans and my average gate went over 1000 making me a massive profit (considering the league) over the course of the season.
Finishing 4th in the regular season I had to make do with the lottery of the play-off's to secure my promotion. My overall league season read like this

I had no problem scoring but conceeding was a problem but I wasn't too concerned sibnce I was scoring more

So, onto season two.

Still no money to spend on players and since I only sign players on 1year deals I had no-one excptional to sell to bring any money in but I made a few more freebee's as well as extending some contracts and again raiding Reading.

Halfway through the season and I'm awesome at home, losing only two but I'm yet to win away and sit 17th in the league. I made the 5th round of the setanta sheild but have been largely dissapointing in the FA Cup and Trophy.

My tactics still need some tweaking, and perhaps a complete re-think away from home.
I have now got a whole new set of backroom staff and most of my first team are now full time.
I'm currently scouting players whose contracts expire at the end of this season so I can build my third team in three seasons.
The Press expect me to finish rock bottom and my chairman wants me to avoid relegation but I think I'm more than on course for a "respectable" mid-table finish and hopefully a decent run in the setanta cup.
This is a massive challenge to me as I am not a FM addict and play for no more than about 2hours a day.
My aim is to turn Basingstoke Town into European champions by 2020!!!
I find this much more exciting than cleaning up every season with big clubs.

Other than that enjoy you game but for the moment it's not strictly LLM as known within this forum.
