Default Financial advice!

hi guys

looking for some input into my finances before the board decide to fire me. if they do!

im currently managing part-timers QUB (Queens University Belfast)

i was in division 2 last season and noticed after about 1/4 of the games played, my bank balance was -45k and the board were not happy.

so i decided to get my reserves and under-18's playing games (in division 2 there are no fixtures for either!) i played home friendlies. 4 or so per month all season with teams from england and scotland, bringing in about 4 or 6k per game. my balance got to about -11k or so by the end of the season.

now im in division 1 my reserves have games but my under-18's dont. so i thought "same again" HOWEVER when i arrange each friendly now i am not getting even near to the amount of money i made the previous season. most i can get now is 1k

can anyone suggest whats going on? im now at -65k and have only played about a dozen games or so. i have installed the new patch. could this be whats caused the problem?

thanks in advance

Is it realistic to play a bunch of friendlies like that all season? Hardly.

Not much you can do when you're leaking money. Pray to Frank, or sell players.

I'd also like to point out that there is this marvellous invention called the shift-key. It's so great they've actually equipped every keyboard with two of these wonders. Use them

Afraid no help other than to say your debt is minor & TBH quite common in the impoverished Irish leagues so it's fairly unlikely you'll get the sack over it.

You have to consider whether it is realistic for a side of your stature to play English and Scotish teams in friendlies. It is unlikely that you would get those U18 and Reserve teams to go to Belfast on a regular basis. It's also unrealistic that all your friendlies would be played at home simply to generate revenue.

As previously mentioned leaking money left right and centre is standard fare for LLM! Try to find other, more realistic, ways to generate income.

Using friendlies like this has been discussed & deemed to be non-LLM.

No worries.

As mentioned before, it is unrealistic for you to ask for those clubs to play friendlies. It's not your fault the game allows it but we tend not to search deliberately for lucrative matches.
