I accept after time there should be some generated managers as the real life ones can't all be 100 years old.
But I found after season 1 I was linked to 7 League 2 jobs as the managers of the clubs deals were about to expire.
As you know it'll say someone is favourite and then there are three other main contenders. Taking me out of the equation 21 suggestions of which 11 different managers were named. Only 2 are real unemployed managers.
The rest all appear to be amazing according to their skills and on a par with most League 1 / League 2 managers where as my stats are not anywhere near that after just a year. They can't be.
After 4/5 seasons half the LLM clubs have one of these in charge! They are applying for jobs along with normal managers at that level and get them due to their better stats I would imagine.
One of them is stupidly young.
Has anyone done well and found it tough to get another LLM as these evil monsters have turned up?
I have noticed something like this in my game, 8.0.1, Ireland has hired a generated manager who had no experience. Now I know we hired Steve Staunton but at least he had played before
It's just annoying as I think FM08 is the best yet and I have really enjoyed it immensely. Apart from forgetting about the league bonus that's paid out and that cost me big time in my first season as I planned carefully to stay in the black and then that hit me! D'oh
But I am finding it tough because the generated managers appear much better than the real ones and it's their clubs that generally dominate the league. Despite having no experience they all seem to be coming in and doing great and I fear in another 5 seasons I won't get a job anywhere as we'll be flooded with them!
in fm07 france once hired a 38 year old manager from the 3rd league in france. i don´t know if he was generated but he didn´t have special ratings or a good reputation. he also didn´t achive anything(except of being an absolute mediocre manager ) before being hired...
I left Maidenhead after 7 or so seasons (tale of woe etc) and tried to find a Job. I went on my hols and I got offered the Roma job (I’m only running Serie A in Italy). Obviously I turned it down but that’s ridiculous. And Numancia in La Liga.
Back more closely to topic…. There were plenty of more appropriate jobs I applied for that I didn’t get.
