Not a complete season as such, but when you switch from one that ends in June to one that ends in December you do get these odd months. Why switch? 2016 - Wuhan Shizi, Chinese First Group (+55k/mth)
In August, with 9 games of their season to go and languishing in a mid table 10th place, Wuhan Shizi offered me the chance to head to China and take them back to the Great League and I jumped at it. A £4.5m transfer kitty and 50k of a 69k salary budget unused, this could work out well.
We dropped just 5 points in those 9 games and came within a whisker of an unlikely 2nd place and promotion (having been 10pts off when I started), but couldn't quite do the impossible. Still, with some good new blood on its way for next season, things look promising.
On a side note, four months in Wuhan mean my in-game duplicate is now septilingual. I fear no multinational squads...

I was wondering if there was anything like that, but not even the Mandarin/Cantonese split as far as I can tell.
From memory the complete list is English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and Chinese so far. There's only French and possibly Afrikaans/Zulu (depending on whether you pick those up managing in South Africa in the game) left of the playable nation lingos in this save. Get them and I'll have the set. Roll on the next resignation...

Ah, back to blowing other people's finances. Almost completely rebuilt the squad with a pack of under-24s replacing the aging incumbents. A couple of bad apples, but not enough to spoil the season. We romped the league, losing just once in 30 games, took the title with two games to spare and ended up 13 points clear of 2nd place.
Bloody good thing to, as the board had demanded promotion (the season I took over was their first after relegation from the top flight). They offered me a 4-year deal, obviously unaware of my record. I've taken a one-year contract. I'll give it a shot in the top flight, having won a league at last, but I'm starting to hanker for a move back home.
And, to be honest, the difference between English name order (initial + family name) on the match/tactics screen and Chinese name order (family name + given name) on the squad list means I keep losing track of who's who in match commentary and it's driving me a bit barmy.

And by the way, Varese are one of my favourite all-time teams on FM... first played as them in 00/01, and I think I've started at least one game as them in every edition where they have been available since - they had some financial worries a few years back and got forcibly relegated a couple of tiers, if memory serves.

A good season to leave China on. Tipped to struggle, last year's squad plus a couple of fresh acquisitions actually do very well. The horrors of "wants to leave for a bigger club" kicked in a little, with just about everyone on someone's shortlist, but only our #1 striker actually upped sticks mid-season. In the end, we finished in a very respectable 5th place. The squad could do well next year, but only if all the players stay, which I very much doubt (the AI is less tenacious than me).
To cap our good league form, we managed to win the confusingly-named Chinese League Trophy (Chinese cup), so much adulation from all concerned and a first major national trophy to go in my toilet after 12 years and nearly 450 games. We pick up the overachievers, young player, signing of the season, overall rating and most assists awards and I finish second in Chinese Manager of the Year. Excellent season all round.
And at the end, I quit. Back on the job market and looking for a move back home, I think.
