Not seen FC Utd in the game yet, with exception to the cups. I keep an eye out too as my best mate is one of the many founding members, and have seen them play a fair few times. Like Ian said, Norfolk and Chance for this version of FM.

Well I saw FC United of Manchester last night.

Not on FM08 but in real life, as they came to visit my non league team Mossley in the league, we won 2-0 and if the performance has anything to go by, it will be alot longer than FM11 before they are at a playable level on Football Manager.

I really don't have a problem with FC United of Manchester, but one thing did strike me at last nights game.

All the supporters did was sing Manchester United songs, now tell me if I'm wrong but I can't ever remember Eric Cantona playing for FC United :eek:, or what about the one about the Busby babes? I'm sure Sir Matt was 6ft below well before they were formed in 2005.
Hating City? The only City in the league is Lancaster City and hatred is a very strong word.
Also they hate Merseyside? What have Skelmersdale United ever done to them??? :cool:

They really just sang those songs and didn't really support the team as I thought they would.

Most of the fans are Manure fans, so they still have to get used to playing at (very) low levels. One thing they haven't forgot is supporting a big club with big rivals, now they're supporting a small club with hardly any rivals.

To be fair their argument is that United sold their soul to the devil when Glazer took over, and that anything that happened before then is part of their heritage. It remains to be seen whether they'll stick by the club through thick and thin, but as long as they do I've got no problem with them: at least they had the conviction to say that enough was enough.

On a related note, to anyone in the know, has anyone noticed any club from level 8 or below getting to BSN/BSS? It's just I thought they were only two promotions from that level, so I assume if they haven't made it then the game won't allow it.
