I would just add, Jenninga, that continued posting in the editor's forum will lead to suspicion. Use of the editor and LLM do not mix, and I dare say that there is info in that forum that could be used to your advantage when you play.

A reasonable point mkus.
However, the simple fact is it isn't good player guide. So I can't accidentally see 'Sign this played in BSN, he'll get 50 goals a game'.
I have now diverted my query to the skins / graphics forum and looks like I have enough info to get what I want now.
You obviously have to take my word for this but
anything I could potentially see I would steer clear of in the game just in case as to have kept realism.
I didn't consider anything in the Editors section could be used to my advantage other than the obvious giving my club money or whatever.
If people want to be suspicious that's there perogative. What matters is that I enjoy trying to keep Redditch afloat with no scout, rubbish facilities, no budget and crippling debt.
Anything that wasn't realistic would just leave me to conclude there was no point playing it.
I am not a LLM from what you lot tell me. My own way of playing the game and adhering to realism made me one anyway.
That's how I wish to remain otherwise for me FM becomes pointless.

REDDITCH UNITED - Blue Square North - 2010/11
Without a doubt the most bizarre season I have ever had. Tipped to go up. Favourites. Brought in two centre halves good enough to still play in the league and a striker that banged in 22 Conference Premier goals. Surely we could cut it?
Top of the league at Christmas. Couldn't make up what happened next. 3 long term injuries, to my creative midfielder average 7.44 and my prolific striker. My Conference Premier signing, the striker had not even scored ALL season despite at least 10 starts and countless sub appearances.
Another 5 or 6 injuries and I was stuck playing kids. They did okay at first but I then lost 12 out of 15 in all competitions and went on a relentless slump.
With 2 games to go I was 18th, a point above second bottom (21st) with Boston (the champions) at home and Hucknall (in 3rd) away.
Boston humiliated me 4-1 to make it 11 without a win at this stage.
I was in the bottom 3 by a point. I had to win at Hucknall and hope.
All I could do was tell them there was no pressure. As if! But the morale was so shocking I couldn't dare tell them they must win!
I swear the following events are true. I was 3 goals up in 20 minutes started by a 30 yard rocket 28 seconds in from the Conference Premier striker of last year. It was his FIRST goal of the season. What a time to get it.
Hucknall pulled one back with 10 minutes left but I held on to win 3-1 and stayed up by a point in the end with at least one result going for me.
Whether I keep my job or not I don't know. Now back to £100k in debt and I'd told the board I'd finish mid table. They were happy with that.
Who knows what will happen next. I am being linked with League 2 jobs in the press so is it time to leave or can I make a few signings and trust my squad to deliver next time round? It'll be a tough choice.
Expectation 1st
Finished 19th
Money -£107k
Top scorer - Consistent performer 12
Assists - Youth AM 6

Bad luck there. Sometimes you get seriously bit in the arse.
Jumping ship to League Two sounds unrealistic considering the horrendous season, IMO. Stick with it and build your team. Better luck for next season. Sounds like injuries ruined this one.

Indeed.
My reputation seems to have been forged over 4 years and the fact I was favourites and leading the way.
Whether in real life I wouldn't be linked to these jobs and it's a bug where I have been tipped and not delivered but the game hasn't realised or whether they can see the strength of squad etc compared to when I took over and I am highly rated, is a subject for debate I guess.
If I keep my job I will be staying I have decided.
Unfinished business I feel and yes I agree that although my credentials may overall warrant a League 2 job based over 4 years, I am sure in real life Chairman would be put off by my slump even if they did appreciate at one time I had a 15 year old left back playing.

i started with redditch too and just missed out on automatic promotion but won in the playoffs. struggled in my 3rd season, finished 13th but won the FAT.
you may start to really struggle with finances if you dont get promoted soon.

good update !
I like how in your first season you were tipped to get promoted, however, four seasons under the belt and you are still in the same place... The team board may have some delusions of grandeur (manager's ability aside), similar to West Ham... |

To answer .. I'm from Ipswich and a proud Tractor Boy.
Secondly, I wasn't tipped for promo in season 1 Sancho. I was tipped to finish 22nd - dead bottom. First 3 seasons have all been steady improvement and last season was up until xmas.
What worries me is the finances. One year I had a board takeover that pumped in nearly £80k. The following year a cup run got me about £100k.
So I am losing about £100k a year. Roughly something has rescued me every year. First year I didn't lose as much with the season starting in July where as now you pay wages May - July with no fixtures either.
As I am not playing with a patch or whatever the board are very unhappy with the finances and expect me to sort it out.
If I had a star player I'd look to sell but no one stays fit enough to convince buyers.
I am starting to think my training ground is on a landmine testing site or something. There were only 4 players in my whole squad that didn't get injured at some point last year, much higher than usual.
The better the player the more likely it is he gets injured. I swear it is almost proportionate. Just my luck.
Never mind. I'll be back with the lads soon and I'll make sure there are raring to go.
GLORY OR INSANITY AWAITS! (OR BANKRUPTCY!)
By the way can anyone tell me what happens when you get relegated from lowest league? I've been lucky enough to never suffer it but I assume you lose your job and become unemployed. What message does the game display in this situation?
