I've been something of a stranger to my wife and my work colleagues in the last couple of months.

Picked Blyth because my old man used to cover them for the local paper... he was on the team bus the whole way through the '78 cup run.
:o That's some going ! How far have you managed to take them ?

errr... scared about breaking the "no bragging" rule, but I got them into regular Champions League football. Didn't manage to win the Premier League, though. Croft Park is now a 40,000 all seater stadium.

Not bad. Think I only ever managed to take them as far as the PL on one previous occasion on CM/FM - and that was some time ago.

I got pretty lucky with a few play-offs on the way, and my first season in the PL I managed 19 points and relegation by April.

You'll get the Spartans into Europe, have faith!

At least that's more than the mackem's managed some years ago.

Not sure if I'll make the PL with Blyth - scoring goals continues to be a problem, especially one on ones. :-/

Season 4

A good season, finishing 6th in the Conference, just missing out on the playoffs by 2 points. The goalscoring problem seems to have sorted itself out, with me finding a formation that appears to work with this side and the players I have. No real cup runs to speak of - made it to the first round of the FA Cup, where we lost 1-0 at Chester.

No job offers as yet, though I do get linked with a few vacancies. So - next season I think a serious promotion push has to happen. Signings that I could do with making include a better RB, DC and a DMC. Also possibly an AMR as my present one is now 32.
