Pete would be proud of having four teams in three seasons.

2010/2011
Lecco (Italian Serie C1/A)

The board wanted to avoid relegation. Wait, actually the board wanted me to fix the finances, avoid relegation was my goal. Media predicted 11th place. The squad was seriously strengthened by signing an AMC (the loanee left) for an outrageous fee of 300k; he was worth it though. We had an impressive team, until long-term injuries showed up during friendlies. The start of the campaign saw us drop out of the Serie C Cup with two wins and two loses.

The first half of the season saw us drop steadily down. The second half witness our steady ascent because of three MC loanees. I think my team was laundering money, there was cash input from a board member, yet our expenses remained a good 90k / month despite all the efforts to reduce this. With two games to go, seven teams were fighting for the last two playoff spots: it was vicious. Of course, at this point the Board send a press announcement that it may be hard to keep me in the club (!), and they were thinking of replacements. Just my luck; and I thought I had found my team.

During the second to last match, against fourth-placed Verona, there were four goals in the first 15 minutes, tied 2-2. And then Verona decided to stop toying with us; we lost 2-4. And that's how we missed the playoffs.

8th 34 games; 15-7-12, +4gls, 52pts
