It is my desire to take Sutton Utd to the Premier League. I'm obviously rather crap at FM '08 right now, as I'm struggling to get to the BSP. Still, I'm young - 30 so I expect if I don't get fired I might have 30 or so seasons to try. My main concern though is the financial side of things. I've almost convinced myself that Sutton will never be able to make enough money to pay L1 players much less Prem players. Especially considering my chairman/board have the financial acumen of Robert Mugabe. That is something I just don't get. Can I suggest my chairman resign? I'm 1K under the wage budget, sold my captain for 10K, haven't spent a dime on players, so my 20K transfer budget is still intact, and yet still my club is hemorrhaging money. and if all that financial prudence wasn't enough cups gave like 20K prize money, and I've my average attendance is double waht it was for the first 2 games when I took over. So I've increased income, cut spending to 0 and my stupid chairman still can't manage to keep the club afloat! What am I to do? Don't answer, I'm just venting my frustrations.....

It is my desire to take my current club to the Premier League, but as it's not Billericay Town I haven't got a cat in hell's chance.

Currently 2nd in BSS with Bath with two games to go. If I haul a 2 point defecit over Lewes, it will be my first automatic promotion ever (been playing CM/FM since CM Italia)

I've got Braintree Town promoted to the BSP, now after a severe culling of players, we're midtable, if we stay up, i've got my eye on some good players for next year....love trying to do this

This forum is a god send...in a previous FM (06 I think) I embarked upon a 'career mode', which took me from Maidenhead Utd to Kidderminster to Oxford to Bradford and finally to Leicester...

So for FM08, I decided to revisit my old haunt of York Road and take the reigns at Maidenhead Utd. My affiliation is a genuine one, as my Grandad is a keen fan of going to watch his local non league teams and has taken me along to see The Magpies a few times.

This time around I thought I'd do him proud and take Maidenhead as far as possible...hopefully to the Premier League. Step 1 of the dream is alive as I sit 2nd with 10 matches to go in the BSS, albeit 9 points off Bognor Bleedin' Regis...

Sadly, I have to work, but instead I am dreaming about what the evening holds for Maidenhead Utd and my 92 season ticket holders and jabbering on about it in a FM forum!

Roll on 5.30pm!
