My first full season in charge, and it gets off to an ok start. To my surprise, the strikers bang in the goals, despite being 32, 36 and 37! This needs to be addressed though, as the latter two decide that they will retire at the end of the season.
Mid October, and we've dropped to 9th. The club is debt ridden and I'm fearing the worst. The worst doesn't happen though, as we enter the promotion race, come February. With 2 games left, we are sitting in 2nd and 3pts ahead of Siegen. A 5-0 thrashing for us, and a draw for Siegen leave us 2pts ahead going into the final game of the season. The captain rallies the troops, and we win 2-0 to seal promotion to Division 2! :cool:
Club debts at the end of the season exceed 3M Euros, which doesn't bode well for the future and, inevitably, players must go...
Final Position: 2nd (P34 W19 D8 L7 GD+17 Pts65). Promotion!!!
