Why can't we offer players a short-term contract? Can we contact agents to find players in other countries?
A contract for 2 or 3 months is extremely common in football world, especially in some lower leagues where players' ability was largely unknown before seeing them really playing. Sometimes it's called "trial contract' but not the same thing in the game, as they really transfer to the team and can really play in league games. Why can't we do that in FM?
And I believe this is possible in older versions, maybe CM01/02, but since then it was removed for no reasons. Is it the time to include it again so that we can have more choice in finding suitable players?
A point more. Is it possible to add an "agent' function into the game? Lots and loads of clubs from low-reputation leagues are heavily relying on agents to find players (especially foreigners, although many of them are really poor). Are the programmers only watching Premiership so they knew nothing about this in other parts of football world?
Discussions are welcome. Thanks!

The lack of short term contracts is apparently for performance reasons, e.g. if a player is on a 1 month contract, the AI code related to this (i.e. players wanting new contracts, clubs offering new contracts etc) has to run 12 times as often as if the player is on a year long contract.

I understand what you said, but just for a reason for game speed so that some important parts in game can be totally neglected? Though speed is important, reality is also another essential feature of this game...obvious disappointed
