You know what I mean: when a club makes an offer for a player you don't wanna sell, you then ask for a huge amount of money, so that the player won't get unhappy for refusing the other team's bid.

I noticed that even if I do this, the players still get unhappy "at their manager's decision to not allow him to hold talks with club X".

So, did any of you guys find a way to avoid this ?

I tend to reject the bid but ensure I use the "offer is good" enough option.

But really SI should fix it that either AI clubs dont make stupidly offers for your stars, or ensure that a player knows his worth so doesnt get upset if you ask for a reasonably high amount.

I always add one of the clubs players I know they won't want to part with instead of wanting cash.

Seems to work for me and they always withdraw the offer.

this is getting really frustrating for me, as I get about 2 offers each day for a pack made of 8-9 players => the team morale goes to hell

I negotiate for their best player(s) in exchange. They usually go away.

But I agree that it does get annoying during transfer windows having to manually negotiate each time.

High squad status may make a difference. Even when I was a big club, I found I was getting repeated bids for my young talent because I had them on hot prospect.

The AI has kept hold of him so far in my game. Mind you I'm only in march in my first season.

I had this problem in 07 when I was in charge of Rangers. I was getting so many bids for my top players and they were all getting unhappy.

I ended up joining Inter and taking most of them with me.

4 seasons in and I still have him, and he's still happy and contracted for another 3 years....
