I've got a question.
Do you need a certain amount of international call ups to have a game postponed? I ask because I recently had 10 international call ups with most being regular first teamer's and a couple of real key players and the game wasn't postponed. Last season I had 11 or 12 called up quite a few times yet those games were postponed.
Just wondering? (Not that it matters as my 'reserves' dominated and won 3-0. )
I just had another 2 called up just after that game and then my next two league games were postponed. I think that 11 is the magic number. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Not had a response in there so far so thought I'd post in here. Any thoughts?

I think it depends on the competition really. In previous versions I've had loads of players called up on the same day as a champs league semi-final or final and the game never gets postponed in my experience.
In the football league I think it's 3 or 4 players called up entitles a club to get the game postponed. In the Premiership I dont know if they have a rule on it, if they do imagine how teams like Portsmouth would exploit it in January when their players trek off for the African Nations.

I don't think European games (UEFA Cup, Champs League, Intertoto) can be postponed due to call ups. League games can but I don't know the number exactly (3-5) and also I don't know if the game counts all players you own or just players in your current first team (I often have young players who play for their country in my reserves).
African Cup of Nations is different, games are NOT postponed for call ups(in my experience). However I once had 11+ Brazilian players in my Rushden team and they all got called up (I was actually Brazil manager as well and needed to win the qualifier)and my league matches did not get postponed even though over half my first team was away (this Rushden example was way back in FM05 though so things may of changed).

pompey will only miss 4 players and 2 of them are cm's who there is plenty of cover for.
apart from that i have had the same problems as the origional poster. i have had half my squad in the past called up on the same day as a major champions league game and it really is annyoing. personally what i do is play quite defencive/long ball just to scrape through and hope for the best in the 2nd leg!
