Hi

Can somebody please tell me where to put my "real comp & cup name fix" file?

I have installed the the patch but cant seem to find the 8.0.1 folder under db only 8.0.0 is visible...

Can you tell me where to place the files so that the real comp names appear in the game??

Inside the data folder there should be a folder called ‘updates’. There you’ll find the database for the 8.0.1 version.

I thought the file was meant to go into

CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\data\db\800\lnc\all

Originally yes. But with a new patch you have to re-do the fix in the new dbs folder, in this case 8.0.1.

Ok, for 8.0.1 you need to park this in:

?Football Manager 2008\data\updates\update-801\db\801\lnc\all

Follow all previous instructions but look to this folder instead

Strange, I'm running 8.01 and have all the correct competition names. The only update file I have is the one previously mentioned.

Not that I'm complaining.
