I'm playing as HSV in Germany at the moment. My 2 strikers are Olic (pace 19) and Guerrero (pace 15).
In home games I'm noticing that the AI teams are pushing their defensive lines up a fair bit and I set my pitch size to maximum, so there's a fair bit of space into which to send balls over the top.
The problem is that my midfielders are not doing that. If I set their passing to direct, their outlook to attacking, they either try passes that aren't on or they run forward and I lose my shape.
But playing a slow, controlling game means they don't exploit the space for the strikers to run into.
