Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Opposition 4-2-4 end of games

The other team always switches to this 4-2-4 formation for the last 10 minutes if they are losing, and it almost always seems to work. Wins keep getting turned into draws from teams pulling back one or even two goals at the end of matches.

Is there a way to counter this well?

the most effective thing to do is keep your fullacks deep and setup a wall, what the AI wants to do is get in behind out wide, so...

Full backs with mentality similar to your CBs, have them marking the man or zone tight.

2 def mids could be useful to keep the ball of the opp strikers, and look to break by plaing direct and wide.

Im sure other people have their own ideas but hope this helps

Put fullbacks on similar mentality to CB's. Man mark the FL/FR with them. Then click counter attack and direct. Time wasting up high.
I usually am able to grab a goal on the break which is quite satisyfing =).

i usually play with 2 striker so if i need to hold onto a lead i'll take a striker off and bring on a defensive midfielder and slotting him in the holding midfielder role. this way it makes it more congested in midfield. also play very defensive and counter attacking and chances are you'll nick a goal yourself

Yep all good advice.
Your FB's are your main defence against this formation and your wingers to some extent, so its worth lowering their Ment, CF and also CD as this seems to keep them in a better position to defend.
Time wasting and Counter Attack are the obvious ones, but against your Ronaldo's. Mesi's etc if your FB's aren't good enough then you also need some luck lol!
