After some hours of tinkering I think I've got my tactic up and running again!! My tactic was born out of my dislike for wingers (which i developed on a previous version of the game where they were all cr*p ) and from me wanting a team where defense flowed into midfield and midfield flowed into attack.
Due to my changes you will now need to play a target man as the right hand side of the two strikers but don't assign one in the team instructions, however I still don't assign a playmaker.
I've also used the corner set up described in the post entitled something along the lines of 'The art of corners finally' (sorry can't remember who's post it was :thdn:
but they work pretty well  )
My testing of this so far consists of fiddling around with them on my Liverpool game (much replaying of fixtures and so on) until my team started performing and I've now started a game as Sheff Utd (wishing to outdo cleon ) which has started very promisingly. So now I thought i'd enlist the help of you guys once again to gain some much needed feedback.
This is a home and away tactic, that shouldn't require too much tweaking. It does require however a footballing CB to bring the ball out defense, I've found a DM who can also operate as a CB is better than the other way round (training Agger into a DM seems to be working though) and you'll need two WB's with great engines.
This is a Ruud Gullit Style 'sexy football' tactic which is very solid at the back
