How much revenue are we losing out on
|
Judging from the Deloitte figures released today you don't appear to be losing out on too much.
Last season when Man Utd had a capacity of 70,000 and Chelsea had a capacity of 40,000 the difference in revenue was just 15 million.
(Manchester United was once again top of the English revenue league, making £167.7m. The club was followed by Chelsea on £152.8m)
So for 30,000 more people every home game buying tickets, programs, beer and burgers, merchandise etc they only had increased revenue of 15mil.By the time they have paid all the extra stewards and taxes they really aren't making that much more.As your stadium is smaller and tickets less(?) it's fair to say it's only a few mill you are missing out on.
I'm not sure what you expected it to be!
