I am playing Liverpool in 2012. Lucas wants to leave and I can't do anything to keep him in the club, so I've decide to put some really good substitution for 20M GBP max. I have Sissoko, but je is not nearly goor as Lucas. I am thinking about Arturo Vidal, I can get it for 20M, but he's determination is average, only 14.
Hard to predict how much a player will cost in 2012 mate. But look at Banega, Denilson, Veloso. Best bet though would be to look for some regen. You should have plenty good ones by now in the game.
Regen's are just random players that are generated in the game every season. Everything about them is random. Names, stats, PA, CA, teams etc. They are usually youth players (under 18) although you do sometimes find a few who are older. They will probably be cheap. You might check your own reserves to see if you've got any good DM's coming up. Else have a look around at other clubs and you should find a few.
im in 2011, my scouts are going nuts about Albert Zapater and Ignacio Camacho both have min fee release clauses for under £20m in my game take a look at them
