Theres no telling how many unlikely choices players make in choosing clubs in real life that you just never get the chance to hear about. I know the game doesn't take it into consideration but if I was Banega I would probably rather go to a team I know I can solidify a starting spot on for several years rather than a team who tells me so and I'm the starter until a better player comes along, have a bad run for a few games, or get loaned out to a poor club.

I had no troubles signing Banega to any team though, hes currently on my Betis (signed 2nd season), Aston Villa (signed 1st season), and West Ham sides (signed 1st season).

His Argentinian, and they like Italy. Lots of them play in the italian leagues. So its not that suprising.

It's almost certainly to do with your rep as a Manager. The opposite of the Eriksen effect at City, where he can now sign players that would've turned their noses up at City 12 months ago
