It would tend to suggest there is something wrong with you 360's hard drive, maybe bad sectors or like.

Could be a bug which has corrupted the save but it doesn't seem that likely...

Is there any error message or anything which appears when the save game can't be loaded?

I had problems with both saving and loading and at first was adamant that it was the game. I eventually came to realise that it was my xbox360 which was playing up. I took it back to the shop and got a new one and, touchwood, everything seems to be working fine.

Nuh uh. Nothing wrong with my 360 I'm sure, this is the first problem I've encountered with game saves and the like.

Francis, the only message I received was:

"Game save cannot be loaded."

..along those lines anyway. After my tantrum, I just started a new game as Man Utd, sulking as I played.

I got the same thing yesterday with my original Portsmouth game. I deleted the save and started again and it's been fine since then.

It sits on the 'load bar' mini-screen for about 4 seconds, then the "Game save cannot be loaded" (I think that's right too) message popped up. I tried loading it 3 or 4 times afterwards but it did the same thing.

the xbox uses a standard 2.5 inch laptop SATA hard drive. and we have no chkdsk and no defragmenter. down the line i can see me opening the hard disk unit, connecting it up and seeing if i can do some hard drive maintenance.

unfortunately with hard drives, sometimes there's an error, and that error can wreck a file.

definently sounds like a hard drive problem to me. Hopefully its not the game coz touch wood nothing has happened with mine yet and i'd be majorly dissapointed if it did!

If you have had multiple problems and no one else is reporting this definitaly sounds like hard disk trouble.

You have to remember FM uses a lot more space than other games so it is more likely to cause problems if the disk is dodgy

hi, i too have got this problem this morning. Has anyone got any further with these issues. I dont fancy spending time on the game if after every season my save game is being curropted. Is it the game? is it my xbox or what?

about 5 minutes ago i was celebrating getting celtic into the quarter final in the champs league after my keeper boruc scored the winning goal (penalties) then I saved and it paused for a second then stopped saving and froze in the news screen. This was my best season ever and I don't have a back up save. SI hopefully should make a save game recovery tool avliable for download in the xbox live area.

again i encountered the same probelm with my liverpool career, i was in the third season and have a team that im loving and was hoping to lift more trophies. so is there anyway i cn get it back and is it likely to happen again? because like evryone i dont fancy getting dissapointed again.
