Default Anyone know if there's a way to recover a saved game? please help!

hey guys topic says it all really, basically I was 4 seasons into my career, i was with Barcelona, 30 games played in the league, won 23, drew 7. won super cup and in spanish cup final along with champs league semi.

I didn't turn the game off while saving or anything. When i went to load the game up it says "game cannot be loaded" is there anyway i can load my game? (hope there's a way to get around this) I'm really frustrated now, so just thought id come on here and ask.

cheers

I think there's not been a reply to this yet to be fair because this problem has actually been mentioned in 2 other threads that I've read today.

I got the same message just this evening and I had it a few days ago. Both with saves files that were a few months into my first season with Portsmouth. I also noticed the effected save files go from 75MB to just 2MB on the HDD contents page after the failure to load. Yet I did nothing unusual when saving the games, the last time I even saved each game twice!

I've never had a problem with a 360 game loading before and my console works fine. And I've got 2 other saves with different teams that so far are working with no problems, so I'm really confused and a bit concerned about this. It's spoiling an excellent game for me.

Hmmm thanks for the warning, Do you guys have the Autosave feature on or off, I was just thinking maybe if its on, then that might be corrupting the save file somehow.
Otherwise, do what I do, several save files, and save often.

Just had this happen to me.
3rd Season in. Went to save the game and it only took about 3 secs, then the game locked up. Rebooted the Xbox and stuck FM2006 back in and tried to reload my save and got the 'game cannot be loaded' message. Career over

Think I'm going to run 2 saves from now on, one for the monthly autosaves and one for when I finish playing for the session. Hopefully if one dies i'll have a backup.

Very annoying though and it sounds like a genuine problem from the amount of people who have encountered it.

Multiple saves is a good idea, never thought of that! Thanks guys.

I never use autosaves, I've just turned 'em on to see if there's a difference too!

I think there's been too many people mentioning this to be a 360 fault to be honest. I dunno what causes it (something happens in saving I think, since effected save files drastically reduce in size) but it seems to be fairly common. SI guys, please heeelp!
