| aye you're right, considering taking it back & cutting my losses with it, can't be bothered with this every couple of days.

Ok I have managed to reproduce this here now and it seems that, when this happens, the game is taking you to the screen you were on previously to saving before the game has finished saving (hence the game appearing to freeze)
If this happens, and the game seems to lock up leave it for a minute or so and you'll regain control. When this happens it should mean the game has finished saving and you can shut down with no problem.
We're still looking into this but please make sure after you've saved that you can interact with the game before you shut down and you should not get a corrupt savegame.

Can anyone confirm if Scott H's solution works? I, rather foolishly, took my game back to Game so that I didn't lose out on £50. I'd be very happy if I could go and repurchase it knowing that everything will work fine.
I've a £26 million bid for Fred waiting to be accepted on my save game...

Sorry, my apologies. It was your solution - The rush of blood to my head that followed the thought that I could play this again for many hours obviously made me not think straight!
Cheers for seemingly sorting it all out. I don't really like to moan and complain.

no problems, and if it works i would appreciate a game against each of you on xbox live ranked, where you play your striker in goals, and your gk up front |

urm, to my knowledge my game never froze b4 i turned it off after saving. Although i cannot be sure as i often save it and then not look at the screen and do summin else for a moment. So the save bar could well have gone quicker than normal.
From now on i am going to save the game in two directories i.e. Save1 and Save2 whilst makin sure the bar does not complete quicker than normal. I will also make sure b4 i turn it off that i have control in the game as Scot H Said. Seems a little extreme but its a gr8 game and i'd rather take a few mins to save a game than having lost hours of play overnight. keep us all informed guys to this because it helps others and also the devlopers.

NiROE i have started doing that now as of this morning. Don't know why it would make a difference but i suppose you'll be turning off on a main screen rather than a game in progress.

| The game has to finish saving for you to be able to go to the main menu as you can't bring up the option during the save. So even if this problem happens, if you wait until the game lets you go to the main menu then you shouldn't encounter a corrupted savegame.
