i know loads of folk who haven't had this problem, which makes me think that it might be a console problem, although i seriously hope not.
| I've heard a couple of fellas on here so far that have said it hasn't happened to them until their 2nd/3rd season though.
It *never* happens to me in the first 10 or so saves, I can always get up to about November time before it ever happens.
Oh, and I play music in the background myself, always.
I didn't ontice any indication of a problem myself until I got the 'could not load game' message the next play. I'll have to look out for any quick saving in future.
The only thing I've noticed is the save file on the HDD drops dramatically in size afterwards, so I'd guessed it was something happening during saving?
I've not encountered it yet in my new Pompey game so dunno how effective this will be, but I'd be 99% sure if peeps do what has been suggested (which is have 2-3 save files going at once), you should be able to dodge it if it happens for now.

| Sorry to be a pedant, but doing this doesn't necessarily mean that you can avoid the problem, just that if it does happen, you won't have to reply too much of the game to get back where you were. The problem still exists.

Having never used auto save, do you get any indication that FM is doing the save or is it completely in the background without any notification. If its without any notice, is it possible people are turning off the 360 during a monthly autosave, therefore corrupting their saves?
I'm probably completely wrong, but thought it might be worth mentioning | It's an interesting idea and as far as I remember there was no message for me saying that it was autosaving. However, my problems occurred immediately after (and I'd also guess during) the process of manually saving. It would save much too quickly - only a couple of seconds - and then freeze. Only then would I turn off the xbox.

We need help on this and we are not getting it, as some1 said, is it fm2006/my xbox or bad luck. Im not gonna spend another days worth of hours for another game to be curropted.

| The problem is that no-one as of yet knows. I've already swapped one xbox and, whilst the problems with the two games were slightly different, the end result is that I still can't play the game and am not getting any enjoyment from it.
Unforunately not enough people are suffering from this to get and it appears that SI can't replicate the problem in order to provide a solution.
The thing that puzzles me is that my other game (Oblivion) is working fine. I understand that FM06 uses up more space than other existing xbox360 games and therefore might be more sensitive to problems with the harddrive, but it seems pretty lame if there are a fair few xboxs out there with laden with probelms.

Is anyone else getting the freeze before they get the "game could not be loaded" problem?
So far we have been unable to reproduce this here and any more information you could provide would be helpful.

I can appreciate any little glitches with games particularly when it is as big as this on a console version, but after spending hours on a game to find next day when loading it up u can not play it is pretty frustrating.
