Miles - I have a few friends who are only experiencing this problem with FM2006. As I have said earlier in this topic I can play all my other Live games perfectly.

It is understandable that we all want a solution to this problem as soon as possible. Since the online mode was one of the unique selling points of this title over previous versions.

I know from experience that these kinds of problems can slip through quite easily given the number of different network configurations out there.

If you are using a Voyager205 router this guide should help.

Chris Head - not really sure what you want us to do beyond the information we've already given. There is nothing we can do about it - the users will need to configure their routers to make them work properly with Live.

We have been told that it is not a problem with our game, so it's not something that's slipped through.

If you read the link given by Joe above, it's all covered in the Network Address Translation sesction includng the line "it can cause in game problems such as voice issues and connectivity issues in certain games." and has a guide of what to do to fix the issue with the router, modem or whatever. That's an official Microsoft document.

That will be a router problem, probably the person hosting the game you're trying to join has his set to strict.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

From my point of view I have done everything I can to make this game.

I have followed all the guides for setting up port forwarding and DMZ and FM2006 is still the only game that I have any problems with.

What is the point of going out and buying a wireless router that is Xbox Live compatible and then to find out that the router is the problem?

The reason for your part failure to connect to certain 'hosts' is because the host end hasn't configured his/her equipment to allow the relevant ports for access to the game.

You've done your part - It's now the other end that needs to do the same.
