In Spain, you are only allowed a certain number of non-EU players (South Americans and Eastern Europeans for a start)

France has no restrictions but an odd transfer system

Italy has a rule that you can only buy a certain amount of foreign players per season

Germany has a limit of 4 non-Eu players in any playing squad

Holland has no restrictions whatsoever.

That's as far as I can remember from memory

If you go to a countries league table and press up on the D pad it will bring up a list of rules, that should tell you all you need to know.

Good question - I'm managing Barca into my 4th season - registering players at beginning of season was unable to register all 5 foreign players as limit was apparently 3 for the league, but..come the season I'm able to play all 5 in the same team!! Bug?

Basically, Barcelona are only allowed to register 3 players PER team, but the League restriction is 5
