I think this could be looked at for the following reasons:
1) I went to renew one of my players contract and he was happy to negotiate so I offered him what he wanted. Then a few days later he rejected the conract and now doesn't want to discuss having his contract renewed.
2) A good player is on the market...maybe he is unhappy and is transfer listed so is interested in a move to your club. Having bidded for the player and having the offer accepted he now doesnt want to go/or he discusses contract then a few days later he rejects the contract as he is now happy at the club again.
This can be very frustrating and it seems a little unrealistic they would change there minds in the space of a few days, however, a good solution to this would be the chance to negotiate instantly. This means when discussions are had and you offer a contract a decision is made straight away accepting or rejecting.
This would need to be done implemented carefully but could be a good feature to have. Maybe the current way is you discuss it on the phone and papers are drawn up which is why it takes time for decisions to be made and signed and in that time the player changes his mind. Now an option could be selected that the player is so important that you arange a meeting face to face and get a decision made instantly. This option could be limited to one a day and using this option would cost more (you have to make an offer they can't refuse and they are happy to sign straightaway).
This could be also done with negotiating transfers aswell.
Bipolar players definitely gets annoying. "Oh I'm not happy at this club I want to go" then BAM they pull a 180. No "well we won a big trophy so I can't leave now" no promise of first team footy from their manager no huge salary/bonus raise from their team. They just change their mind.
I could almost understand if it happened with 17 - 18 year old kids but a lot of the players it happens with are pushing 30 (from either direction). Also annoying is having the player turn your contract offer down and having to go through making an offer etc again.
