Yep, I'm still on dial-up. There's a glitch in the ADSL system that means my house (the only one in the suburb, as far as I can tell) is out of server range. So, for the foreseeable future, I'm on dial-up.
I'm four seasons into FM08 (without the patch), and the game starting to freeze up. I think I need the patch to make it run again. The problem is that it's 100MB, which would equate to about a day's worth of continuous download.
Please advise, because the only other option is to move house (which I'm seriously contemplating).
Is there anywhere I can go to download the patch in several dial-up friendly bits?
My suggestion would be to talk to friends, family, school buddies, work colleagues, whichever applies, and see if someone with broadband can download the patch and burn it to a CD for you.
if you have a removable storage device (eg a pen drive) you could go to an internet cafe and downlaod of from SI in minutes and then go home and install it from your storage device.
PS: If it's any consolation, i'm on dial-up as well and we dont even have broadband in our area yet! (I downloaded the patch in work)
