Default Blending of Photo's

I am working on a project where I have 4 different layers with a different photo on each layer. I need to make the end result look like each photo morphs or blends into another picture.

If anyone can help I would sincerely appreciate it...

Thanx.

wow, that's a difficult one to answer (at least for me it is!) I would think you would need a different program to do that -- although not sure! The program I am thinking of is called "Morph SE" by broderbund. You can take 2 or more photos, and have each one morph into the next one!! I think the $ on that one is about $30 - $50! There are 2 versions, Regular, and Pro (hance the price range)!

Other than that, I'd wait to hear from Mark or one of the more experienced members tell you how (if possible) to do it! [righton]

I think that the morph is a bad term. Quite often, someone wants to blend an image with another: put all images as layers in the same file (drag-and-drop) then add a layer mask (there is a button for that in the layers palette) and drag a white to black gradient to blend the images. repeat this for each layer...

I have attached a jpg of my project so folks can see what I need. Each pic is a different layer. What I need is an effect that protrays a transition from one photo to another... a kind of morph... I tried using motion trails but it did not work or I was doing something wrong.

This is a tough nut to crack...

Thanx for all of the help. [righton]

Welcome to the forum's Denny_Hardy.

To be able to suggest a possible solution it would be good to know how you intend to use the image. Do you want a narrow vertical or horizontal image? Is there going to be a background? Can you define your hoped for goal in more detail?

Defining the goal often implies the solution.

The desired end result will be an 8x10 photo of the pictures. Vertical or Hortizontal really does not matter... which ever will work the best. There will be no background other than the blending/morphing trails of the photo's. This is a departing gift for the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Mr. Brown.

I would like to start with the HS Grad picture and try to show a transition from one stage of his life to the next and so on. Like a picture of his life in one viewing.

Hope this helps...

If you use Windows a possible solution might be to take those individual shots and then use SmartMorph 1.55...

http://meesoft.logicnet.dk/SmartMorph/

The software to accomplish morphing two images is free and 'chain' morphing is available for a 'small donation.'
