Hey fellow gurus, i have a problem with my photoshop that i cant fix.
Ok, the problem is that the colors in my photoshop seems more darker than all of my friends photoshop. and also when i press "D" on my keyboard to reset the colors, the foreground color is black as it has to be, but the background is not even white, is like a "tan" color and i tried to change it to white putting #FFFFFF but it changes to a different color, and also it wont let me choose different colors like light blue and stuff like that.
lol ok and also, yesterday i was following a tutorial to do a planet, when i finished it, it looked darker and stuff in my photoshop, but when i saved it to .jpg , i opened the file and it was lighter and it looked WAY better like in the tutorial showed.
did you change the quality at all when you saved it? I am not real sure what causes this, but It has happened to me before as well. With mine, it was a quality issue. That was using the save for web option though.
I dont think i would of change the quality cause i dont even know where to change it, ill try to change that, but.... how do i change the quality? Where do i go to change it?
It may be to do with your Color preferences. Go into Edit/Color Preferences and select a different RGB color profile.
Which profile you choose depends on a number of factors. My own system uses my printer color profile because this is my primary output. Web developers will use a different option. It all depends on your output requirements.
Color profiles are too involved to explain too deeply here, but you can play around - with the preview button selected - to see if you're getting a better match. This might at least confirm the source of the problem.
