when i go on edit all that seems to come up is create a player but i want to create a club any ideas

Which version do you have? If you have version 7.0.2, when you open the editor, click on edit at the top, then go down to create club.

no sorry i have 7.0.0 i think how do i upgrade to 7.0.2

When you start FM up, in the bottom right hand corner, it should say 'Check for Updates'. That will take you to SI website and should say you need upgrading.

when you upgrade will it delete previous editing on the database. For example, if i created Dulwich hamlets team on the old version, when i download the new one, will it delete the team?

when i try to create a club i cant play with it, why? can someboddy tell me how i do? i have 7.0.2

There could be several reasons for this, but without knowing your exact situation it may be difficult to pinpoint. There are a couple of general things you can check:
1.have you created a new team from scratch with its own unique id, or just edited over an existing team?
2.if you have created from scratch (which I’m assuming you have), you need to make sure that the league you have placed them in has the same number of teams as original. Basically, to put your team in, you need to take another team out first
3.make sure you select a league for your new team to go into
4.to check that your team is active in that league, save your editor, then re-open and search the league you put your team into, then go to teams. Your team should now be appearing in this list in the place of the team you deleted. If not, you have a problem!
5.save your new edited database and give it a new name (eg mynewteam)
6.start a new game
7.on the load screen it will give you a menu of which database to use (ie 7.0 original, 7.0.2 etc.). Your new database should show up here (ie mynewteam). Select this and load
8.you should now be able to select your new team from the league you put them in.

Try this and see how you go. I can assure you as someone who has practically zero experience with editing, it is pretty straightforward to do this, but does take a bit of time and patience. I would also recommend doing a search on here with ‘creating custom team’ and you will probably find a step by step guide.
