after trying for almost two days to load my created database onto a new game and nearly hitting the point of wanting to smash my laptop to pieces i have FINALLY managed to sort it out
make sure your database is in the db folder....load up FM then go on preferences and turn off the option which asks to use the wizard when starting a new game...click confirm...and go on new game

Can you post a detailed step by step list of exactly what you have done so far?
Without any information, it is very difficult to help.

Well i finished doing everything on editor and saved it into the sports interactive part in my documents, i then copy and pasted it into the C: drive sports interactive but when i go to start a new game it doesn't bring up the list of databases it just uses the default.
Also the updates dont work for me either, is it something to do with what version of FM i have?

What version of FM do you have?
There should be no reason to move it from the My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\DB folder. Leave it where it is and you should be okay.
