I am about 50% of the way there getting the german national team to work in demo

That'll be because the demo always uses qquickstarts (which are always small db size), so you won't get many foreign players loaded up. whcich quickstart did you load?

That's probably why, then. Have a look at some of the German teams, and see how many players are in their squads.

ive got all 23 german internationals that played against england in the team but also a full squad of grayed out players which i can't get rid of cause if you look at the screen shot at the bottom it says ive got 47 players
