I wonder if theres a way to make the clubs generate mainly Australian players from Youth Academy? Would changing the nationality of the club work?
keeping the clubs as australian is really the only way to guarantee top quality australian regens. also, make sure all staff are australian, this also helps.

I agree with Sydneyfc4ever...you can get around the cap with appearance fees, goal bonuses, win bonuses etc. However the cap is what makes this league such a good one to play...i love beating J-League teams in the ACL with my Home Brand price team of has-beens, never-weres or probably-wont-bes.
One of the best things you can do though is to just forget about signing big name players. I have made some signings that have brought huge returns in front of goal for less than i was paying Ante Milicic, Reinaldo and Simon Lynch to begin with (Queensland Roar is my team and i signed a guy called minor diaz from costa rica who nabbed 32 A-League goals for me in a year...i pay him A$1350 a week). Send your scouts out to central america and reap the rewards of cheap foreigners who seem to have little problem with visas from my experience.

i agree wih ruttiger on the cheap foreigner front, i generally have a couple of brazilians and argentinians in my squad (normally strikers) But you do have to be mindful of the ACL rulings regarding no more than 3 foreigners can be registered. always have 17 ausstralian/new zealanders in you squad at the minimum.

I'm sure I read a thread about having a different club nationality to the league disqualified you from entering the champions league..

There must be a suitable league with only one division...Scotland i think has no promotion or relegation...but have a look at some of the more obscure ones.

Using a TLA swap is much easier as it changes the nation of the league(like swapping SCO and AUS will swap the Scottish league nation to Australia), but if you want Scotland, South Korea and Holland have no relegations.
Scotland requires at least 16 Scottish(or Australian if you use the TLA swap method) to be in "A Lower Division", Holland requires at least like 50 or so Dutch(or Australian if you use the TLA swap) to be in "A Lower Division" unless the game will crash when seeding the cup.

I was always a fan of swapping with less followed leagues for fear of ruining the wonderful club heritages of Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Aberdeen, Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV etc.
That's why i have always gone with swaps into China, Malaysia, Singapore etc. Just because (and I'm not being insulting) no body will miss them at all. I would have a large hole in the game without being able to follow a traditional dutch or scottish league.

Well, you can use other places as long as you use the TLA trick.
Otherwise, when a team gets relegated they will not get promoted again. For example, if you use Malaysia(and I know this works, as I have done it myself) just follow my guide, which is now on the first page, and it will work fine.
