Ok. theres a few things to consider before you start making your own team.
1. What devision do you want your club to play in?
2. What country?
3. Do you want to use playes already in game or do you want to create your own?
4. Do you want your reserve team to play in a devision or just be a reserve squad?
5. Do you want your youth team to play in a devision or just be a youth squad?
6. Self-created stadium and fanbase or computer one?
Answer these six questions and I'll be glad to help you |

Absolutely!
Much like you, I had enjoyed playing as different teams in different countrys and leagues, and was looking for something to respark my imagination. So, I decided to play the part of a billionaire footy fan who creates his own team, builds a super stadium and starts in the English conference North with no team, no staff (except me as chairman/manager ofcourse!) and a few pounds in the bank (errr well.. £750 million to be honest). So I used the editor, created me, my team, my stadium and off I went!
It's great fun to be building a club and a squad from scratch like this and forging my way up the divisions.
Good luck!

| I'm guessing that's because of reputation. the reputation of the club acts as a cap to bank balance. Therefore you can enter a bank balance as high as you like but when you start a game - you're money has vanished. Either try increasing the rep, or a better solution - use FMM to edit the balances of the clubs after you create the game (just tried this is FM08 and it ony took a few mins to do).
Good luck
