I performed my first swap team tonight with an EDT, putting FC United into the Blue Square North division in place of the worst predicted team Redditch. I also bumped their reputation up to maximum and gave them a shedload of cash, just for those times when I feel like winning all the time I can load up this save.
The only players it gave me were all youth players when I started the game so I let my Assistant Manager take control of my friendlies and to my surprise we beat Piacenza 5-0 and sure enough a load of greys were in the team and all amazing looking 15-19 year olds. This was with my first team, not reserves, but seeing as I didnt have any players in either it clearly had to create me some anyway.
I'd seen a few threads that made it seem only Italian clubs got the 'supergreys' so thought it might be of interest to someone, it will likely work with any league. Thanks to the new FMM I also found that all the greys potential ability is the same as their current ability, so it will be interesting to see in the longterm whether their stats move at all, or decline at some speed. This was also with a large database as well so database size clearly has nothing to do with the bug. Seeing as I'm in Blue Square North their values are only slightly better than average (between 10 and 20k) despite my reputation.
I'm going to crack on with this though just to see what happens in the long run, with regards to how long it takes for their stats to decline and how rapidly, and also how long it takes clubs to come after my non league players if they in fact do at all. If anyones actually interested in hearing how this goes I'll report back every once in a while.
