I created a new team and placed them in the Blue Square South and everything is going swimmingly so far. However, we're not playing in the FA Cup?

I'm blitzing through the league and FA Trophy, but we're not included in the FA Cup, is there a reason for this, or have I forgotten to do something when creating a team?

A team has to be 2 years old to participate in the English FA Cup. so for the first two seasons, you wont be participating in it, but your team will enter the draw in the 3rd season (I didnt try this in FM08 yet, but thats the behavior in FM07 according to the FA rules). If needed, you can go back to the editor and change the team's creation year and all will go smoothly.

Not strickly true. Farnborough FC were formed when Farnborough Town went bust last season.

The new club have been allowed to take part in the FA Cup and FA Trophy this season. Not sure the exact rules but side like FCUM and AFC Dons had to wait the 2 years. I might mention it(if not already) in the bugs forum.

When I used the editor to swap Farnborough FC with another club in the Conf South I found they couldn't play in the FA Cup. The Setanta Shield still had the team I had replaced rather than my team and I could play the FA Trophy fine
