I'm not entirely sure if anyone will be able to answer this question, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
When you create players on editor, you have stats and CA. Now, when you then go into game, those stats given will be adjusted in line with the CA.
Now, what I am assuming, if that each point of CA give you so many points to spend on stats. If this is so, how many points does each CA point give you, and which stats are effected. I would guess there are certain things you give value for that doesnt effect CA (rating in positions... footedness, personal attributes).
Can anyone help me on this. Its just frustrating to create a team only to find that those players actually play totally different to how you designed them as you didnt get things exactly right.

Question regarding CA and what it consists of Post #2
first off please remember that the CA will change over time due to training/experience & age, but will be limited to the player's PA (I know this is obvious, but i'm making sure in case you are a newbie).
As for CA & atributes - in a nutshell, a CA of 200 should give you a player with ~16 at every attribute while a player with Ca of 1 should get ~6 per attribute.
That said, you can use FMM to create a player with CA=255 which should give him ~20 across the board.
However, CA is not an acurate indication of a player's ability. A good way to look at it is that a player with a high CA will probably be a good all-around player, but a player with a lower CA who has high specific stats might be better suited to a specific role - think of all the slow FC's of the past who knew just when & where to be in order to score (john aldridge & Gerd Müller come to mind)
Note that you can use the old Genie scout to get a feel of what makes a good Def/Mid/Atk & create excellent players with lower CA ratings.

6 = default for stats. 200 CA gives you 10 onto every stat across the board. That applies to Physical, Techical, and Mental stats.
So if I take the total number of physical, Technical and Mental stats, multiply by ten, and then divide by 200 i will get the amount of stat points per CA point. Correct?

The way CA is calculated uses a weighting system which takes into account the attributes ( not stats ) which are important for each position and so puts more emphasis on these attributes rather than ones which are less important.. To my knowledge SI have never given any clue as to how the weighting system is calculated so it would be wrong to assume what you have said above,

So its impossible to accurataly create a database without spending forever going back and forth between editor and starting a new game file to see if a players stats are right or wrong.
Bleh... pain.

Don't get discourged so easly.
You can still make a pretty good educated geuss as to the required CA, so what if in the end the numbers will be a little off - the diffenrence should be very minor.
you can also use the editor to look at the CA & stats of players you know & build from there.
