Still can't get this to work so I'll list what I've done in the hope someone can tell me where I've gone wrong:

Created a folder called comps in CProgram files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data

Copied the fixtures above into notepad, corrected the error and saved as eng_prm_11.cmp within the created comps folder (file is now showing as a cmp file)

Used notepad to open CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data\panels\nation filter.xml

Deleted all text and replaced it with one in thread above. Saved file.

Now when I start up a new game I can't see any option to select real fixtures and don't even have a greyed out box.

Have I messed up somewhere along the way?

Do you know what the French Fixture file should be named also ?

For the Premiership this is eng_prm_11.cmp

I've followed exactly the same procedure except I get a Real Fixtures box that I'm unable to tick.

Could it be a problem with the skin?

I seem to remember some skins didn't work with this in FM2006.

When you saved it, in the file type, did you save it as "all files" or as a "text document"?
You need to save it as "all files" for it to work.

Also, you say you edited nation filter.xml? If so, you edited the wrong file. You should have edited "nation league panels.xml"

Hope that helps.

I have edited the nation league panels.xml file.

I also saved the .cmp file as "all files" too.

Does the encoding matter?

Mine was ANSI.

Mine were saved as ANSI.

I've only played using the Flexion skin so it could be a possibility. Try using this skin.

Works fine here.

I saved the .cmp files as "all files" with the ANSI coding.

When loading up the game i can check the Real Fixture box for the leagues that i have included (English and French).
