Help, ive changed the national panel file and deleted the contents and pasted in the correct script. I have made a new folder in data called comps and pasted the english premiership fixtures using notepad clicking all files and saving the file as engprem.cmp into the folder. When i start a new game the option of real fixtures comes up but i can't tick the box! How can i resolve this please? Cheers

You need to name the file eng_prm_11.cmp

Hi guys!

I have decided to you write a guide for those who want to create a cmp file.

1. Choose a league and then get the full fixtures list for season 2006/2007 with all matchdays with kick-off times

2. Next run FM07 or the editor (but the editor isn´t to helpful at the moment) and in the preferences check the box where is says "show Unique ID. Run the game and go to where you see the league table. Next you write down the number that is shown under the name of the league. For example: Under Premier league will the number 11 show up.

3. Next get the id number from clubs that compete in the league.For example Arsenal has the number 602. Before you close the game re-chek the numbers because if you miss only one number in a id the file won´t work.

4. Next open the editor and check the nations id letter like Germany has ger, England has eng and so on. At the same time we check the competitions three letters signs. Here some examples:
Premier league: prm
Seria A: a
Ligue 1: fl1

5.Our next step is to open the Notebook and we open a new document.

5. In this document first we write the header and it should be stand like this:

"LEAGUE_STAGE" 0
"FIXTURES" 2006
"VERSION" 2

6. Every code line should be writen like this
1 29 08 2006 1900 "602" "604"
1 = this number indicates the matchday
29 = this indicates the day
08 = this indicates the month
2006 = this indicates the year
1900 = this indicates the kick off time
"602" = This indicates the home team in this case Arsenal
"604" = This indicates the away team in this cas e Aston Villa.
After every number the must be a space between.

7. This step is very important. The dates and the kick off times must be in the right order if they are messed up the file won´t work. Here is an example:

2 29 08 2006 1900 "602" "604"
2 29 08 2006 1245 "604" "602"

2 30 08 2006 1400 "602" "604"
2 29 08 2006 1400 "604" "602"

In these cases the file won´t work because in the first example the second game should be played before the second and not the other way. In the second example is the date that don´t match. The 30th isn´t before the 29th in the calender.
Remember: Set the dates and the kick off times in the right order.

8. When you have finished with the list there´s only one thing to do and that is to save the file. We choose file and in that menu we choose the option save as. A window will show up and in there you write down the leagues indication like this:
Premier league: eng_prm_11.cmp
Serie A: ita_a_32.cmp

There you have created you cmp file for FM07.
