I just got FM 2008 and don't know where the editor is? I just want to edit a few transfer budgets?

It's in the directory you installed the game to, under the name 'data editor.exe'

Or you can go to to Start/Programs/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/Data editor

sorry lad i don't have a clue about this game so tell me what is start. was i meant to edit things when i was installing the game or something?

He was refering to the Start menu, usually found in the lower left corner of any Windows desktop in the last 12 years or so.

Anyway, the editor's .exe file can be found in the folder where you installed the game (in my case it's HIgre\Football Manager 2008\data editor.exe )
