Hi,
I bought the gametoday and first installed it on my gf's laptop (it's vista), I edited some players, made a squad etc then I copied the edited data to a pen drive (titled in my name so it was easy to spot). It was all fine. I get home and install it on my pc (XP sp2) copied my DB to the DB folder but when I run editor it's only the default DB it's driving me loco.

edit: and I can't seem to edit posts here so:
It's not giving the option to load my DB, just the default DB, I worded it wrong.

Make sure you put your edited db in your user data folder (by default: "My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\db\"). The editor should automatically save your db to that folder but a previous installation of FM 2007 may cause it to save it elsewhere. To remedy this, go to the editor options and specify where your user data folder is.

you stated that you renamed the file, is the folder and the db name exactly the same? if they differ, even slightly, then it will not work. Go into your explorer and access the file mentioned above by R&D and check your db, you can open the folder and ensure the db file is the same name.
