Default Swapping Teams and Creating Leagues

Okay, so using the following guidelines i have swapped teams. I use reputation to decide what teams to swap and were,

Im using the English Leauges as my base.
So far i've swapped teams to Premiership,Championship,League 1,League 2, Conference, Conference North,Conference South.

Saved the db, tried to start a new game, then it got to 'Setting up database' then crashed with the following error message: array acess out of bounds.

The only editng i have done is swapped teams, is there anything else i should do to get this to work?

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problems as well but I've got it working using England as my template. A lot of the info available would appear to over-complicate matters in my opinion, and a lot of it doesn't work.

The quickest and simplest way is to simply 'swap' the teams you wish, but limit the number of foreign teams to 4 of the same nation per league.

It's as simple as that.

That will allow the game to work crash and error free and you can then change whatever you want from there.

For example my Premiership Division consists of:

4 English teams
4 Spanish
3 Italian
2 Brazilian
2 Portuguese
1 French
2 German
and 2 Argentinean

And my, what would be the Championship division, consists of:

4 Italian
3 Spanish
3 English
2 Brazilian
1 Portuguese
1 French
2 German
2 Dutch
2 Turkish
1 Greek
1 Russian
1 Ukrainian
and 1 Scottish

I've not really bothered changing much else apart from the league an award names and I improved the reputation of everything just in case teams and players got unhappy by being relegated from say the Serie A to League 2!

I ran it for 10 seasons overnight and everything was fine!

And I'm now mid way through playing my second season and I've had no problems at all.

People will tell you to do all sorts, but in my experience it'll either not help or just not be necessary.

I'll post a more detailed list of the swapped teams if you like?

when you change watford, charlton and sheff utd,you must change last division and last position of the new team as the same of watford charlton and sheff united, team by team equal.

You don't!

Can you explain why you have to do that sort of thing for only those teams?

I didn't for my super league and it works fine!

the logic behind adding previous history is for the seeding of the cups.

i do it myself no matter what league i'm moving, it also adds some history to your league.

That's fair enough if you want the history to look more accurate to the leagues you are playing in.

But you don't need to do it.

And it doesn't solve the 'array access out of bounds' error!

mooks1978 way works! i've been trying to get this working since the game came out! good work!!!!

i didn't change anything else like the previous history or seedings or anything. like mooks1978 said, it'd give the leagues a bit more of an accurrate history, but it's not needed!

I also put teams from all over the world in, not just european teams!

there's a proper discussion thread about this called 'create a simple super league' for more info.

There may be something to this if you want to not have any foreign teams in the Championship.

I've not tried it though. But I do know that if you don't have at least 3 English teams in the Championship it doesn't work!

Maybe someone can give it a go if they don't want English teams in their Championship.

You don't have to have any English teams in any of the other leagues though!

The Championship would appear to be a bit of an anomaly!
