3rd party programs dont work on Worldwide Soccer Manager, this is pathetic since both FM and WSM are the same exact game!
SI why do you alienate your North American customers!!!!!
I always understood that creating a micro dominant design is essential for the success of a company, why are you guys going the wrong way??? I dont think i can recall any many other games that followed the same scenario and became hugely successful.
I had to vent my disatisfaction because i have the RIGHT to do so, please dont reply telling me SI is working hard, and its my fault for getting WSM and not order FM online.
Just because FM has a large customer base (including me who have been playing the game for years) and an inelastic demand for its game doesnt mean we have to invest our hard earned cash in a game that is bug ridden and not compatible with ANYTHING released outside North America, im in no position to say i will switch to another game or anything similar for 2 reasons:
1. I have been a big FM fan for years
2. My loss as a customer will be insignificant to SI
Honestly speaking i hate the disadvantage suffered by WSM users and i think my rant should be taken as more of an eye opener than an unjustified criticism, if it was in my hands, i would have downloaded a FM digital download instead of the WSM one
Best bet contact the makers of what ever program it is you want to use, and ask them why they don't make it for WSM or where can you get it from if one has been made.
No one can blame the makers of the programs because of their meaningful contributions to the FM scene, plus the makers are FM fans just like anyone else on this forum and are not expected to own BOTH FM and WSM and produce 3rd party programs for both.
This is why i lay the blame on SI, its because dividing FM and WSM forced the North American market to lose out on meaningful additions to the beautiful game, and im sure such additions carry a significant monetary value to SI because it increases the lifespan of FM as well as the number of people playing it.
By dividing the game, WSM users are losing out on the added game experience and SI is losing out on the benefits this experience brings
As a fellow North American resident I can say that this is the very reason I have been ordering the game from the U.K. for the past for few years. The constant frustration of WWSM (late release and even later patches) made for an unpleasant experience. My advice for the future would be to order online. Shipping only cost me a pound this year.

True, but not entirely so.
SI has, i'm guessing for marketing reasons, asked FM fans from North America to switch from FM to WWSM. This however was not mirrored by SI's actions as these are actually giving FM fans incentives to prefer FM to WWSM.
Now what SI has to decide, based on their own agenda, is whether they prefer giving preference to the existing FM customer base or give WWSM an edge in order to promote this brand.
I'm not trying to say which is the better path, I'm just stating that once SI has opted to ask fans to switch to a WWSM they can't have these fans (who have tried to help SI out by switching) feel that they have a second rate product.

If you spent an extra minute reading the previous posts, you would have realized why i blamed SI.
Honestly speaking, the drawbacks of owning WWSM outweigh the benefits. Actually i have yet to find a significant benefit from owning WWSM. The only difference i have noticed is the use of the title "Head Coach" instead of "Manager", and such subtle differences do not justify the production of a completely new title for the N. American market.
I am sure that the average FOOTBALL MANAGER fan in N. America would prefer to be able to utilize the added on value, such as the 3rd party programs instead of experience slight changes in used words to fit their schemas.
