Please dont post if you dont know what you are talking about. If you give him 200 for CA he will not improve because thats the maximum. He might just have his attributes re-distributed through training. I dont think the game allows you to give a young player a CA of 200 anyway. It will reduce his ability once the game starts and then he can develop to eventually get his CA to 200 again.
For a wonderkind best thing is to give them a CA of like 150 or something which already makes them goo enough for the EPL and you give them a PA of 200 so they can go on to be the next Pele/Maradona.

The same would apply to you. You can give a young player a CA of 200 and it will stick.
So please don't post if you don't know what you are talking about DS.
Mooks1978 - it won't. The game brings down CA, and I think the limiting factor is age. So if you set a player's CA to 200 (with FMM), and his age is 17, it decreases slowly (with the corresponding slow decline in attributes). If you set it really high with the editor, pre-game, it'll be down at a 'sensible' level when the game is ready to play.
I think the age limits are coded in - they certainly were in FM07, because no amount of editing could get a really young player to stay at a very high CA.
To be fair, in my last post I am talking about FM07 - I haven't had the ability to manipulate the data in FM08.
There do seem to be limits, though. I couldn't get CA to stick above 175 for a 19yo, and not above 150 for a 17yo.
