I have installed the game then clicked on data editor and this comes up... "This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem". So naturally i re-installed and the same thing happened again.

Any suggestions please?

its not just you my friend i get the same problem, not impressed i have tried reinstalling fm2008 and even rebooting my entire laptop thankfully everything is backed up on external hardrive.

I had the same problem,i managed to fix it by downloading the .dll file itself,try searching MSVCP71.dll in google,it should come up,just download that and place it in Computer/local disk/program files/sports interactive/football manager 2008,fixed it for me anyways.

ive done what deman 121 said by downloading the msvcp71.dll and nothing still not working im very annoyed now
