Hi, I have played fm and cm for years, and I also work in software developing, but i haven't ever touched fm data further than the editor ables. So I was thinking in getting data from players in order to make a simple tool to view data, filter it... as many genious tools do, but maybe more customizable. My question is, how do these tools work? I mean, where is the data available? Is there any way to have it in a XML format, or it's all in EDT and DDT format (sorry, haven't looked at this since I'm not at home :$)

Any answers are welcome, and sorry if it's answered anywhere or if my questions are too noob. Thanks!

EDT and DDT are a different part of the FM's file system.

You can choose to load it up from memory (real time) or try and crack the saved game files.

Btw, what is more advisable to work with? or simply they do different things and every thing I would like to do is only possible with one of them?
