New Problem. Edited Database not found..!! (important)

I only changed the folder name. (and its .dmg ... im on a mac, but thats irrelevant).

Literally....

Database Dupliction - Ok, so they are not called Database X/Y

but they are the only file names changes.

'use 'user data' for temprary fies' option - as you can seen, it see's it in the folder there, and although i dont have that box ticked, i did... and it made no difference.

New Games Screen - When i load up a new game and select the DB .... only two options.

is there no one that can help here? A mod/SI Emplyee to help here would be great.... its not like the forum is over run with requests...

There's a xml file inside each db folder, you have to edit both the name of the file and inside the file (use notepad) to match the name of your database. Try it.

Ok, you currently have Legend status, but for one more piece of info.... that could change to GOD status

Ok, so i edited those two files, and hey presto .. theres the new DB. Thanks.! (im unsure as to why it took so long for a correct answer, im sure the forum mods could have told me this days ago.)

But...

I also sent the exact same DB to my friend. So, my database name (Hamienthez - dont ask why

) he has now downloaded, and put in the DB folder. So.... why can it not be found? Surely he does not have to edit names, because it was already named correctly in all files......

Please help with this one too.! maybe we can finally get our game going tonight.!

Mate, I have no idea now. If the xml files now match the DB folder name, there shouldn't be a problem. Is he putting the folder in the right place?

Yea he is. Again, it sees in in certain folders in-game ... just not option to load DB..

hello,
i have bough the mac version last week & there is something weird about it.
when i start a new game i don't get that choose database window as show up above... how do i change it? i have changed the user data map but the old database stays
