For those of us who have WWSM 08 the editing options are limited to the SI editor (at least for now).
This is a great utility but has certain limits which may make it quite frustrating to create the player "you're looking for".
In the hopes that this might help some of you out there and perhaps get constructive feedback as well, here's a little imperfect guide to creating a star player.
1-Choose a real life player (any)as a base copy.
If you want to create a balanced midfielder pick someone like Gerrard, Deco whatever. If you want an AM pick Riquelme or Kaka. You get the idea.
2-Write down ALL his attributes and use these exact numbers for your player.
3-You can max Flair,Determination, Natural Fitness and Aggression with no side effects.
4-You can max the personal data attributes like Sportsmanship, Loyalty etc...
5-Max out PA and CA to 200
6-The player you currently created in the editor will in all likelihood have all his attributes go up by one in the game because most current players are not maxed out already.
7-Make minor tweaks to your new copy if necessary (subtract one to add to another) but be careful since some attributes are more weighted than others.
***I'm not sure if your player needs to be over 27 for your attributes not to go down by one after a few games. If think that's the case.
It's not a perfect system and it will not get you the ultimate 20 everywhere player. It will however get you a fantastic player and probably save you a lot of time and frustration from the usual trial and error method.
